About Mohammed Farhan

Dr. Mohammed Farhan, DPM is a dedicated podiatrist with the practice's convenient office location in

Downtown Salt Lake City, Utah. He is the new podiatric surgery fellow at Salt Lake Regional Medical

Center, practicing with the skilled Advanced Foot & Ankle Center physicians.

Originally from the Chicagoland area, Dr. Farhan graduated from Benedictine University with a Bachelors

of Business Administration in Finance with a minor in Biology; he also graduated as a university scholar.

During his time at Benedictine University, he competed on NCAA Track and Field as well as Cross

Country and served as the university’s student body secretary. Thereafter, he earned his medical degree

in Podiatric Medicine from Dr. William M. Scholl College of Podiatric Medicine at Rosalind Franklin

University of Medicine and Sciences in May 2020. During his time at Scholl, he was awarded the highest

service award for community service, worked at the Office of Diversity and Inclusion as a Graduate

Assistant and served as the class leader in orthopedics and biomechanics. Dr. Farhan went on to

complete his Podiatric Medicine and Surgery Residency with a credential in Reconstructive

Rearfoot/Ankle Surgery at The Brooklyn Hospital Center in Brooklyn, NY. He was trained by a large

cohort of podiatric and orthopedic surgeons and worked closely with various medical specialties to

provide comprehensive care for patients. He served as the Chief Resident during his final year of

training. He trained at a Level II trauma center where he was exposed to trauma, reconstructive surgery,

wound care, pediatrics, sports medicine, outpatient care, dermatology, diabetic foot care, limb salvage,

and podiatric oncology.

Dr. Farhan’s fellowship training will include reconstructive limb salvage surgeries, inpatient and

outpatient patient care, and emergency room call for any podiatric foot and ankle needs, from diabetic

foot infections to acute trauma of the foot and ankle.

Aside from his career, Dr. Farhan loves the outdoors and has done numerous hikes in various parts of

the US and internationally. He also loves to cook and won 3rd place in a salsa making competition in his

time at Scholl. Hailing from Chicago, he is a huge supporter of the Cubs, Bears, Bulls, and Blackhawks.

Dr. Farhan’s clinical philosophy is to treat the complete patient and emphasizes the importance of

managing all comorbidities, especially in diabetics and in limb salvage.
